Why Men Are Awesome No. 1 - The Flirt

I love men.

They’re funny. Interesting. Surprisingly sweet. And occasionally very distracting.

One of my favorite things about men is the exact moment a man realizes a woman is flirting with him.

You can see it happen.

Maybe she compliments him. Looks at him a second longer. Touches his arm.

Nothing big. But something lands.

His face changes. He sits a little taller. There’s a different smile now.

Oh. Hello.

He was attractive before. But now he knows that you noticed.

Sometimes he tries to play it cool. It’s cute.

But the smile is still there. Maybe it’s just at the corner of his mouth. But we can see it.

And we love it.

There’s something very sweet about watching a man realize the attraction might be mutual.

Men are so often expected to make the first move. Start the conversation. Give the compliment. Ask the woman out.

So I love that little moment when he discovers he isn’t out there all by himself.

She sees him, too.

It isn’t always a big moment. Most of the time, nobody else notices.

But the two of you do.

A look. A smile. A tiny shift in the air.

And suddenly, things just got interesting.

That’s one of the things I love about men.
